Guardians of the Galaxy 3 May Feature Steven Tyler
According to director James Gunn, he has given thought to the idea of working with the Aerosmith frontman. More specifically, he indicated that he would like to cast Tyler in a potential Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
The idea was first floated by Tyler in an interview with People, with the famed singer calling out Gunn by name in order to ask him for a role in the third Guardians of the Galaxy film should he make one after all.
Initially, one might have dismissed Tyler’s comments as a joke, but when Gunn was asked about the interview in a Facebook Q&A, the director stated that he would absolutely like to work with him.
Gunn recounted the fact that he directed the musician’s daughter, Liv Tyler, in his 2010 film Super and had the chance to meet Tyler briefly at a screening for the movie, describing him as a “cool guy”. In addition, Gunn responded affirmatively to a Twitter user’s question about him casting Tyler in Guardians of the Galaxy 3, saying he definitely would if the opportunity to do so arose:
The franchise’s long-awaited sequel, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” boasts a star-studded cast, inclusing Kurt Russell as Star Lord’s father — Ego the Living Planet — and Sylvester Stallone as a member of the Nova Corps. If Tyler has his way, “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” could add even more star power to the mix.
