GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, THE INHUMANS: Marvel’s post-THE AVENGERS Movies

guardians of the galaxy, the inhumans, marvels post avengers movies 2011

Guardians of the Galaxy, The Inhumans, Marvel’s post-Avengers movies. Marvel’s already brought their ‘A-game’ when it comes to their ‘A-list’ of comic book characters. It has been confirmed by Kevin Feige that The Inhumans is a possibility, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy. So it is of no surprise that the Marvel movie franchise is expanding their character repertoire. With the success of summer’s blockbuster films: Thor, X-Men: First Class, and Captain America: The First Avenger, options for future film projects such as Guardians and The Inhumans are on the up-and-up.

Since Marvel already has a huge 2012 line up with Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, The Amazing Spider-Man, and of course, The Avengers—it’s only second nature that Marvel expands on the already  winning comic-to-film brand.

Here is a list of what movies Marvel has planned:

Iron Man 3: With Shane Black as director, the film will be released as scheduled May 2013. Thor 2: Still planned with Kenneth Branagh ‘rumored’ replacement director Patty Jenkins from Monsters. Ant-Man: “Edgar Wright has “developed an excellent draft recently,” says Marvel’s President of Production, Kevin Feige.

Guardians of the Galaxy will be set in an alternate future, hinted at in Thor comic side of the Marvel universe, with newly rebooted pack of heroes. The Inhumans, who first appeared in The Fantastic Four, are a fictional race of super-humans, created by the Kree–an alien race who experimented on the Inhumans using Terrigen Mist, thereby altering their genetic code, creating super-human/genetic powers.

Exciting movie line-up from Marvel! Wouldn’t you agree?
