GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (2017): Sylvester Stallone Reportedly Cast

Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone rumored to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The Rocky and Rambo star was spotted carrying a script on his way to the film’s set.

Neither Marvel nor it’s parent company Disney have officially confirmed Stallone’s involvement in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, but the actor has been spotted near the set where the movie is being shot. If he has been cast, then he will be playing opposite original cast members Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and Dave Bautista as well as fellow newcomer and action star Kurt Russell.

In addition, leaked information offers hints about the character Stallone will reportedly play. Per these sources, the costume he wears bears a striking resemblance to the one he wore in another comic-based science fiction film back in the 1990’s:

On Location Vacations reports from a source that Stallone has a role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and that his costume “looks a lot like Judge Dredd,” the comic book character that Stallone previously played in the 1995 adaptation. Dredd, of course, is not a Marvel Comics character, so should Stallone appear in the film dressed in a similar outfit, it’s simply for the enjoyment of fans and not an actual appearance by the 2000 AD character. It is possible that Stallone could be a new member of the Nova Corps in the film, as the two costumes share similarities.
