RZA directing Grant Morrison, Darick Robertson Happy! Film Adaptation. Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s Happy! comic book is being adapted into a movie and RZA has been chosen as the film’s director. Happy! is written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Darick Robertson. Morrison will write the script for the film.

Happy!‘s plot synopsis: “a young girl’s imaginary, magical, feathery blue horse and the disgraced hitman who’s working with it on trying to save the girl from a pedophiliac Santa Claus…Nick Sax, a scummy corrupt ex-cop and hitman. After a hit goes bad and Sax is left gravely injured, he is suddenly able to see Happy, a cheerful little blue horse who won’t give in to adversity, no matter what unpleasant obstacles come in the way. Days before Christmas, Sax teams up with the saccharine horse to the save the life of a troubled kid and maybe find redemption amid the squalor of his city.”

More on the Happy!: “The comic debuted last month from Image Comics with art by Darick RobertsonThe tone and setting have been compared to It’s a Wonderful LifeSin City and Care Bears.”

This is one of strangest movies I have heard of in recent history. I can not wait to see it all come together.
