The Happytime Murders Red Band Trailer

Brian Henson‘s The Happytime Murders (2018) red band movie trailer stars Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Joel McHale, Elizabeth Banks, and Jimmy O. Yang. The Happytime Murders‘ plot synopsis: “No Sesame. All Street. THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS is a filthy comedy set in the underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives with a shared secret, one human (Melissa McCarthy) and one puppet, are forced to work together again to solve the brutal murders of the former cast of a beloved classic puppet television show.”

The fact that everyone in the film takes the premise seriously makes the film seem somewhat funny. The puppet murders in this trailer do produce a smile as does its Scary Movie ending.
