Hearts and Mind (1974) Movie Trailer

hearts-and-minds-trailer-header

I can not say that I have ever seen the 1974 award winning documentary Hearts and Minds, directed by Peter Davis, before but after watching the trailer for it, Hearts and Minds is on my must-see list. This seems like one of the most raw, non-fictional depictions of the Vietnam War put to film. If you are wondering where the title for this Vietnam War documentary came from, it was derived from this quote by President Lyndon Johnson: “The ultimate victory will depend on the hearts and minds of the people who actually live there.” Hearts and Minds is already available on DVD via The Criterion Collection but it has now been digitally restored and remastered and will have a limited run in select theaters before being available on DVD. What are your thoughts on the Vietnam War documentary Hearts and Minds?
