HERCULES (2014): Ian McShane & others join Dwayne Johnson Film

Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, Rebecca Ferguson, Askel HennieJohn Hurt join Hercules. The casting of Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, Rebecca Ferguson, Askel Hennie,  John Hurt in Hercules (2014) or Hercules: The Thracian Wars answers many question about the Brett Ratner directed film. Most if not all will portray allies to Dwayne Johnson‘s Hercules on his team of mercenaries. Production on Hercules begins in May of 2013.

McShane will play Amphiarus, part priest, part prophet and part warrior who is Hercules’ counselor.

On the people behind the scenes of Hercules:

Ryan Condal wrote the screenplay for the action film, based on Radical Studio’s graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars, Evan Spiliotopoulos rewrote it and Brett Ratner is directing and producing with Barry Levine and Beau Flynn.

Hercules‘ plot synopsis: “After renouncing his mythological origins, Hercules lives in exile and fights as a mercenary for hire alongside his loyal but weary comrades. Hercules and his crew will face their most challenging labor yet when one battle forces the man behind the myth to question everything he once believed, and reconsider the truth behind his own legend.”

Hercules also star Aksel Hennie and Rufus Sewell.
