No Plans to Continue Heroes Reborn. It looks like Heroes Reborn’s days are outnumbered. With only one week till the finale, NBC has already announced that they don’t plan on continuing the series beyond that. The network said the series was always planned as a one-off miniseries.

During the Winter TCA panel (via The Hollywood Reporter), NBC chairman Bob Greenplat revealed that the network has no plans for a second season of Heroes Reborn. Before anyone says otherwise, it’s not because of the ratings or the budget. Creator Tim Kring apparently never planned for the series to move beyond one season, according to Greenplat. “That was always the plan, unless Tim woke up one day and said, ‘Oh, I have another chapter to tell.’ But I think we’re coming to the end of the world, maybe. Stay tuned.”

Perhaps the series may live on in comic book form, which was something that the writers planned to do after the cancellation of the original series. For now, it looks like the Heroes saga will be coming to a close for the time being.
