Hidden Figures International Trailer

The international movie trailer for Hidden Figures (2017) has been released for the Theodore Melfi directed film. It’s hard to decide which trailer better represents Hidden Figures: this trailer or the previous U.S. trailer. This trailer certainly shows some of the racial inequalities that took place in the forties, fifties, and sixties. Kirsten Dunst is at the spearhead of most of those moments in this trailer. The trailer also, more than a few times, shows the brilliance of the women (Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe) that NASA came to depend on.

Hidden Figures‘ plot synopsis: based on the book by Margot Lee Shetterly, “As the United States raced against Russia to put a man in space, NASA found untapped talent in a group of African-American female mathematicians that served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in U.S. history. Based on the unbelievably true life stories of three of these women, known as “human computers”, we follow these women as they quickly rose the ranks of NASA alongside many of history’s greatest minds specifically tasked with calculating the momentous launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, and guaranteeing his safe return.

Katherine G. Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer), and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe) crossed all gender, race, and professional lines while their brilliance and desire to dream big, beyond anything ever accomplished before by the human race, firmly cemented them in U.S. history as true American heroes.”

Hidden Figures (2017) also star Kevin Costner, Jim Parsons, Mahershala Ali, Aldis Hodge, Glen Powell, Kimberly Quinn, Olek Krupa, Ariana Neal, and Saniyya Sidney.
