HIGH-RISE (2015) Movie Trailer 2: Skyscraper Apartments as Mental Compartments

Sienna Miller Tom Hiddleston High-Rise 02

High-Rise Movie Trailer 2. Ben Wheatley‘s High-Rise (2015) movie trailer 2 stars Tom HiddlestonJeremy Irons and Sienna MillerHigh-Rise‘s plot synopsis: “Life for the residents of a tower block begins to run out of control.”

To be effectively transparent here, I’m a complete noob when it comes to Ben Wheatley’s work. I know, I know – Kill List (2011), A Field in England (2013). I’m on it, trust me. What I do know, for sure, is that this guy has an incredible eye, and the source material for this seems to be positively delicious, in a sci-fi, puzzle-minded sense. There’s more underneath the surface of these glorious visuals, essentially, and it seems equally filling for the mind as it is for the eyes. At least, that’s what I garner from the trailer.

We reported on this film initially when the first movie stills were released. Those got my attention quickly, as they have a clean, elite symmetry to them that I enjoy. Then came the first trailer, which, if I recall correctly, isn’t as good as this one. This one is really, really good. We then got these alternate posters for the film.

Take a look for yourself! What do you think? That Hiddleston is going places. Oh, and the music used here is Tangerine Dream‘s “Love On a Real Train” – also used in Risky Business (1983).

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
