 Now You See Me

Lionsgate Films has announced a September 3, 2013 release date for the combo pack for Louis Leterrier‘s Now You See Me (2013). The suspense thriller stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Melanie Laurent, and Dave Franco. Recruited by an unknown organizer, The Four Horsemen, an unlikely group of talented magicians, perform to sold-out shows across the globe while simultaneously bank heists occur half-way around the world. Part fantasy, part action film, part love story, Now You See Me was an entertaining sleeper hit. Announced special features include an extended director’s cut with 16 minutes of deleted footage, audio commentary with the director and producer, “A Brief History of Magic” featurette, and “Now You See Me” featurette.

Matchbox Films has announced it will release director Dayyan Eng‘s Inseparable (2012) on home video in the UK on August 19, 2013. The Kevin Spacey vehicle stars him as Chuck, a high-energy American neighbor of an increasingly depressed man Li (Daniel Wu); Chuck encourages Li to stand up for himself and those around him. They make their debut as modern superheros intent on changing the world around them.

Trekkies have yet another set to add to their extensive collections: Star Trek: Stardate Collection features all 10 classic films and 25 hours of bonus content spread across 12 Blu-ray discs. The set streets September 10, 2013, and includes: Star Trek I: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Star Trek VII: Generations, Star Trek VIII: First Contact, Star Trek IX: Insurrection, Star Trek X: Nemesis, Star Trek Summit Bonus Disc, and Evolutions Bonus Disc.

Universal Studios UK has announced a October 21, 2013, release date for the Double Play edition of the psychological thriller The Purge (2013). The James DeMonaco project stars Ethan Hawke, Lena Headley, and Max Burkholder in a controversial film in an increasingly violent and crime-ridden world; for one 12 hour period once a year, the U.S. Government allows residents to commit any crime with impunity. How far will the members of one family go when boundaries and punishments are no longer enforced? The characters wrestle with whom they are to become when no one is watching.
