20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced plans to bring acclaimed director Francis Ford Coppola‘s Twixt (2012) to home theater July 30, 2013. The film stars Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning, and Joanne Whalley. A writer on book tour becomes embroiled in a small town murder mystery and receives tips from a ghost in his dreams.

Steven Knight‘s action thriller Redemption (2012) hits the shelves on September 24, 2013. The Jason Statham vehicle also stars Vicky McClure and Senem Temiz. An Afghanistan vet takes on an assumed identity and tries to piece his life back together. He flies beneath the radar until his pregnant girlfriend is murdered, forcing him to become the soldier he tried to forget in order to get revenge.

Image Entertainment and Drafthouse Entertainment will release director Kim Ki-duk‘s entry into the 85th Academy Awards, Pieta, on Blu-ray and DVD July 23, 2013. Kim’s film follows an enforcer for a loan shark who exacts ruthless revenge on those who fail to pay their debts. One day a mysterious woman appears claiming to be his mother. He grudgingly accepts her and rejects his brutal way of life. The film also won the Golden Lion Award at the 2012 Venice Film Festival.

Mental illness, long lost relatives, never-ending road trips, and more serve to spike sibling rivalry and family friction to new levels in Carl Bessai‘s Sisters & Brothers (2011). Anchor Bay Home Entertainment will release the comedy on Blu-ray and DVD September 10, 2013.

Cinedigm Entertainment Group and New Media Group will team up to release Dante Ariola‘s Arthur Newman (2012). The film starring Emily Blunt, Anne Heche, Colin Firth, and Kristin Lehman will street on September 3, 2013.

Documentary filmmaker Sarah Polley pieces together confessions and anecdotes about her long-deceased mother from her friends and family members to form Stories We Tell (2012). The film, which won the Best Canadian Film Award in 2012, will be available for home viewing September 23, 2013.

Acorn Media plans to release two more feature-length installments of Agatha Christie’s Poirot series on September 17, 2013 as a 2-disc set.
