Anchor Bay Home Entertainment has announced plans to bring directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s biopic Lovelace (2013) to the home entertainment market November 5, 2013. The film chronicles the rise and fall of porn star of Deep Throat fame, Linda Lovelace, in the industry. Amanda Seyfried stars as the title character, Peter Sarsgaard as her husband Chuck Traynor, and appearances by Sharon Stone and James Franco. Deep Throat (and by association, Lovelace) gained notoriety as the first pornographic scripted feature film; the project was wildly successful and propelled the then-unknown star to international fame. She became a spokeswoman for the sexual liberation movement that gained traction in the free love 60’s and continued to build in the early 70’s. Lovelace would later sing a very different tune from the smiling visage she presented the world while promoting the film.

The coming-of-age comedy The Way, Way Back (2013) starring Steve Carell, Liam James, Toni Collette, Sam Duncan, Sam Rockwell, and Allison Janey will be released by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment on October 22, 2013. 14-year-old Duncan (James) is forced to go on a family trip with his mom (Collette) and her boyfriend (Carell). He meets a friend (Rockwell) at a water park and the two click, resulting in lots of laughs and teenage realizations over the course of the vacation. Special features will include deleted scenes, a making-of, and several behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment has announced plans to distribute director Oriol Paulo’s thriller The Body (2012) on DVD and Blu-ray. An inspector must investigate the disappearance of a body from the morgue, a crime which leaves the morgue attendant in a coma from the sheer terror of its occurrence.
