HOWL (2015) Movie Poster & Images: UK Werewolf Flick Gets New Poster & Images

Howl Poster and Images

Howl Movie Poster & Movie Images Have Been Released. We reported on this British horror film a few months ago, when the wonderful trailer and a poster were released. As you could probably tell from that piece, I’m pretty keen on this film, as its taking the werewolf mythos seriously and there seem to be pretty devastating consequences to that creature coming in contact with people.

I’m also really strongly enthusiastic regarding the mood and setting of the film. The werewolf myth should retain a sense of mystery and perennial nature to it, so setting it in the vast forest of the English countryside, the whole film lit by the beautiful moonlight – that stuff really works for me.

In any case, we’ve now been flooded with a batch of new movie stills, as well as a new poster. Check out the old poster (and the trailer) here. Take a look at the new poster and new movie stills below!

What do you guys think? I’m extremely curious about this movie! Werewolf movies are always far and apart, regarding quality and actual time between entries into the film legacy of the creature. The last werewolf movie that was tolerable (and I actually really enjoyed the mood of – that’s a film that does it right) was The Wolfman (2010) with Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt. Unlike that film, however, Howl will have to infuse itself with the myth and romanticism of the werewolf legend without the aid of a Victorian period-piece setting. How this modern (perhaps even entirely isolated to a train) setting will hurt or benefit the movie is something we’ll have to find out in October!

Howl also stars Shauna Macdonald, Rosie Day, Calvin Dean, and Sean Pertwee.

Take a look at the new Howl poster and movie images and leave your thoughts on them below in the comments section. Howl will be released in theaters on October 3, 2015.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
