IN THE HEART OF THE SEA (2015) Movie Trailer 3: Chris Hemsworth Hunts Moby Dick

In The Heart Of The Sea Trailer 3

In The Heart Of The Sea Trailer 3. Ron Howard‘s In The Heart Of The Sea (2015) movie trailer stars Chris Hemsworth, Brendan GleesonBen Wishaw, and Tom HollandIn The Heart Of The Sea‘s plot synopsis: “Based on the 1820 event, a whaling ship is preyed upon by a sperm whale, stranding its crew at sea for 90 days, thousands of miles from home.”

Ron Howard is a very good filmmaker, and he’s made a pretty great film with Chris Hemsworth already, so I’m giving this the benefit of the doubt. The reason I’m so indifferent, and leaning toward a rather negative reaction to all these trailers, is the fact that this feels as fabricated as it looks. The color grading, the CGI employed in ways that someone like Steven Spielberg would forego, and the rather uninteresting protagonist.

We previously published these In The Heart Of The Sea articles:

I’m not sure I’m in the majority, here, and it’s possible that there will be a few things to like in this film, but at this point – I’m highly indifferent.

In The Heart of the Sea also stars Cillian Murphy, Michelle Fairley, Paul Anderson, Charlotte Riley, Joseph Mawle, Jamie Sives, Donald Sumpter, Frank Dillane, and Sam Keeley.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
