Robert Kirkman’s Comic Invisible Being Developed into a Movie

Robert Kirkman is bringing in another one of his comic book properties from page to screen in the form of his long-running series Invincible. After the success of The Walking Dead, the comic book creator is looking to bring his other popular series Invincible to the big screen.

The Hollywood Reporter just revealed that Preachers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg would be writing, directing, and producing Invincible, a live-action adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s Image Comic series for Universal Pictures. The comic book creator will also be producing the project for the film based on the long-running series as fans have waited for this to be made for Hollywood.

“For nearly a decade I’ve had to endure the ‘what about Invincible?’ question as fans have watched The Walking Dead grow into the multi-media monstrosity it has become,” said Kirkman. “The answer was always that we were waiting for the right team to partner with. That team has arrived! The esteemed misters Goldberg and Rogen have proven themselves to be top-notch directors with a keen collective eye for stunning visuals after slumming it by writing hit after juggernaut hit.”

After Preacher has becoming a hit for Rogen and Goldberg, it’s no wonder Kirkman chose them to adapt the series. They are after all, the right choice to bring this beloved series to the big screen, so it will be interesting to see how well they adapt this. The comic book series has already announced that it is coming to an end in 2018 with issue #145, so we can hope for this to become a film franchise if it becomes successful. What do you guys think?
