Iron Man 3 Mark XLVII, Iron Patriot Set Photos. The new Iron Man 3 (2014) set photos feature Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr)’s Mark XLVII and Iron Patriot suits from the upcoming Shane Black directed film. The suits are actual scale models and I am guessing actors are inside the suits as they were being filmed outside on set. The Mark XLVII suit is Tony Stark’s in the film and the Iron Patriot suit is James Rhodes (Don Cheadle).

Iron Man 3‘s plot synopsis: “While Marvel Studios has yet to issue an official synopsis, it’s long been rumored to be an adaptation of Warren Ellis‘ Extremis storyline from the comic books, and so far the casting notices and occasional clues all seem to be in line.”

Iron Man 3 also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, William Sadler, Jon Favreau, Ashley Hamilton, Guy Pearce, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Ben Kingsley, Stan Lee, James Badge Dale, Stephanie Szostak, Dale Dickey, Yvonne Zima, and Ashley Hamilton.
