IRON MAN 4: Robert Downey Jr. Teases Return of Iron Man

Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man

Robert Downey Jr. Hints at More Iron Man Coming. The last time Robert Downey Jr. was asked whether there would be another Iron Man film, he said there weren’t any plans for one. Well now the actor thinks that there will be time to put on the armor once more.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Downey Jr. gave a puzzling response to whether we would see Iron Man again in the big screen. “I’m sure we’ll ride that thing. You’ve got to surf that all the way in to shore,” Downey said. “I think I was at the forefront of something that was coming into being, and I think it has carried me as much as I have informed it. That’s the healthy way to look at it. It’s so easy to become inflated by the successes, but what they really are long, strong trends. It’s just another wave.”

The next time audiences can see Tony Stark’s alter ego will be in next year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. After that, Robert is only contracted for a third Avengers film but we may never know if Iron Man will go on another solo adventure. Audiences will have to wait and see once the next batch of Marvel films start rolling out. One this we know for sure, we haven’t seen the last of Tony Stark.
