It Trailer 2

Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have released the second movie trailer for It (2017). I may actually like the teaser trailer for this film rather than the full trailer (this trailer), even-though this trailer has far more meat on the bone. The mood that the first trailer created is lost half way through this trailer. At that point in this trailer, the trailer becomes about thrills and chills and nothing more.

The previous film incarnation of the It storyline spanned decades and from what is in this film, that is not going to happen (unless they are keeping that a secret – clever – or It‘s producers are hoping for a sequel or a trilogy).

I don’t know if this film would have been helped by the later segments of the storyline being included but their exclusion doesn’t seem to have ameliorated the story.

It‘s plot synopsis: based on the novel by Stephen King, “When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.”

Andrés Muschietti‘s It stars Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Steven Williams, Owen Teague, Wyatt Oleff, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Jack Dylan Grazer, Stephen Bogaert, Ari Cohen, Chosen Jacobs, Bill Skarsgård, Finn Wolfhard, Javier Botet, Nicholas Hamilton, and Megan Charpentier.
