IZOMBIE: Leaked TV Show Trailer [CW]

Rose McIver iZombie

1st look at The CW‘s iZombie from leaked trailer. One aspect to the Information Age I’m sure we can all agree on: it’s getting exponentially more difficult to keep things under wraps. More to the point, it’s getting easier to get multimedia scoops. Some intrepid individual has managed to capture a full trailer to The CW’s upcoming iZombie series; so even as the power houses over at Warner Bros. no doubt try to put the horse back in the stable, I say enjoy it where/while you can find it. Try here, for instance.

iZombie‘s synopsis:

A med student-turned-zombie takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head.

While the quality leaves much to be desired, the trailer does confirm my initial impression of iZombie as Warm Bodies meets Tru Calling. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I wouldn’t call it brain food, either. iZombie stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Alexandra Krosney, David Anders, Robert Buckley, Nora Dunn, and Ruhul Kohli, and is scheduled for a 2014-2015 mid-season launch on The CW.
