J. Edgar Trailer. Clint Eastwood‘s J. Edgar (2011) movie trailer stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Watts, Judi Dench, Armie Hammer, and Josh Lucas. J. Edgar‘s plot synopsis: “Based on the life of J. Edgar Hoover, the man often credited with making the FBI what it is today: an efficient, crime-fighting organization shrouded in secrecy. Hoover founded the organization in 1935 and remained director until his death in 1972.
Warner Bros’ new film J. Edgar explores the public and private life of one of the most powerful, controversial and enigmatic figures of the 20th century…The story traces Hoover’s life from his childhood through ascent to power in the 20s, his 50-year reign over the FBI, and death in 1972.”
This film reminds me of The Aviator but it doesn’t seem to have that spark or excitement that the Martin Scorcese film had.
J. Edgar also stars Ken Howard, Ed Westwick, Lea Thompson, Dermot Mulroney, Stephen Root, Jeffrey Donovan, Amanda Schull, Miles Fisher, Ryan McPartlin, Kaitlyn Dever, and Michael Gladis.
