JESSICA JONES: Krysten Ritter Teases LUKE CAGE Hook-Up [Netflix]

Mike Coulter Krysten Ritter Jessica Jones

Krysten Ritter Talks Dynamic with Luke Cage on Jessica Jones. Sparks will fly once Mike Coulter’s Luke Cage meets up with Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones in the upcoming Netflix series. So how exactly will the show tackle that dynamic? Well Krysten knows a bit on how that goes down.

Speaking at the This Week In Marvel podcast (via MCU Exchange), Krysten Ritter pretty much confirmed that the show won’t stray away from the intimacy between Jessica Jones and hero-for-hire Luke Cage. Ritter talked about her time on set with Coulter, saying that she was a little nervous at first but that her male co-star was there for support. “At the end of the day, I also knew Mike had my back. Whether we were doing stunts together, or love-making scenes, which I’m not very comfortable with.”

While it seems like the chemistry between these two would be essential to the Marvel series, we may be seeing a somewhat different approach to David Tennant’s Purple Man. Without going deeper into details, Ritter said that Purple Man’s background “is twisted around and expanded on and developed.”

Other than that, we won’t know much more until the show premieres on Netflix. There hasn’t been a release date scheduled, but it is confirmed to drop on Netflix sometime this fall.
