JESSICA JONES: Series Renewed for a Second Season [Netflix]

Krysten Ritter Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones Gets Picked Up for a Second Season. Jessica Jones will be coming back as Netflix’s critically acclaimed series will return for a second season. The news on the renewal of the series, starring Krysten Ritter, comes just three months after it’s first season dropped on Netflix.

The announcement of the pick-up came during the TCA press tour, which will be 13 episodes at an yet-to-be determined date, meaning that we probably won’t see the series come back this year. TVLine reported that the sophomore run wouldn’t be coming out until The Defenders finishes it’s first season, according to Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos. “The complex [part] is really running into The Defenders. [That] production schedule will affect a lot of the Season 2 and Season 3 outputs [for other Marvel projects].”
