John Rabe Movie Trailers: Steve Buscemi, Ulrich Tukur, Daniel Brühl

John Rabe Movie Trailers have been released. John Rabe is directed by Florian Gallenberger and stars Ulrich Tukur, Daniel Brühl, and Steve Buscemi. John Rabe‘s plot synopsis: “It focuses upon the experiences of John Rabe, a German businessman who used his Nazi party membership to construct a Safety Zone in Nanking, similar to the one in Shanghai, and save over 200,000 Chinese from the Nanking massacre, which was being committed by the invading Imperial Japanese Army after the 1937 Battle of Nanking […and is] based upon Rabe’s wartime diaries.” John Rabe reminds me of The Red Baron. It has that same tone and grit factor to it. I’m glad when films of this nature come out. Germans have been vilified because of The Nazi Party but films like Valkyrie and Schindler’s List show that its not a monolithic brand that can be placed on all of them during that time period. I’m looking forward to John Rabe. John Rabe hits U.S. theaters in New York City and Los Angeles on May 21, 2010.
