Chris Pratt cast in Jurassic World. The Jurassic World (2015) casting confirmation of Chris Pratt answers the lingering question of whether or not the actor would appear in the Colin Trevorrow directed film. Chris Pratt will play a character named Owen, a rugged “ex-military man” that doesn’t see eye to eye with a corporate scientist to be portrayed by actress Bryce Dallas Howard.

Chris Pratt had this to say about his history with the Jurassic Park franchise history and feelings about his involvement with Jurassic World:

For me, Jurassic Park was really kind of my Star Wars

I lined up at the theatre to see it, I saw it opening night, I saw every sequel, I’ve seen it a whole bunch of times… for me that was my big movie, I think I was 13 or 14 when it came out

And so it’s a big deal for me to be any part of that, let alone this part I’m going to be playing. I’m thrilled about it.

Jurassic World will take place twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park 3.

Jurassic World will also star Jake Johnson, David Oyelowo, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, and Irrfan Khan.
