JK Simmons Gary Oldman Commissioner Oldman

Gary Oldman’s Advice to J.K. Simmons on Playing Commissioner Gordon in Justice League. With J.K. Simmons playing Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Justice League film, what does previous portrayer Gary Oldman has to say? Well, listen up Simmons.

Gary Oldman received praise for his portrayal as Batman’s ally in The Dark Knight Trilogy, but it looks like J.K. Simmons will be taking the mantle to play him. Speaking with Yahoo, Oldman talked about the advice he would give Simmons who is about to play Gordon in Justice League: Part One. Here’s what the actor had to say:

The thing you’ve just got to get used to with Gordon is he’s a really sound detective, first of all.  And he’s really incorruptible, which is a kind of wonderful quality to play and sort of, like, true blue.  He’s like a Watson, oddly.  He’s sort of like Watson to Sherlock, is Gordon to Batman.

We don’t know what kind of role Commissioner Gordon will play when the new film comes out. We didn’t get to see him in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it appears Gordon may play an important role since he is going to be part of a major film with the superhero team. What do you guys think?
