JUSTICE LEAGUE (2017): Robin Wright To Return For Crossover

Robin Wright Set To Reprise Wonder Woman Role For Justice League

Emmy Award-nominated House of Cards actress Robin Wright will appear again as Wonder Woman‘s General Antiope in Justice League. Please be advised that this story contains spoilers regarding Wonder Woman.

The news will come as a shock to anyone who watched the record-breaking DC superhero film as they know that Antiope died relatively early on in the film when her and Diana’s homeland of Themisycra was attacked by German invaders. This could mean that Wright’s character will merely appear in a flashback scene or that she will somehow be revived by the time of the events of League.

Additionally, her co-star Connie Nielsen has already been tapped to return as Diana’s mother Queen Hippolyta for the next installment of the DC Extended Universe.

Per, the source of this story:

During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Gal Gadot, Nielsen and Wright were asked whether there will be an opportunity to further explore the relationship depicted in Wonder Woman between Diana and Hippolyta. “Of course,” Gadot replied. “The mother and daughter relationship is always a beautiful but complex relationship. I think that there’s a lot more to explore.”

Neilsen added, “[Wright and I] got to do more in Justice League as well. As sisters as well. Kind of badass as well. We can’t say much, but …” She was then interrupted by Wright, who offered, “And more of the story, you get some of the history.”
