LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: Arrow/The Flash Spinoff Title and Plot Revealed

Legends of Tomorrow Gets Series Order and Synopsis Unveiled. It looks like we finally have a title and a plot for the new Arrow/The Flash Spinoff, and it’s being called DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The CW has given a series order for the superhero team-up to release this fall.

The announcement was made according to DC, with Legends of Tomorrow among three other pilots picked up to series. The pilot hasn’t been shot yet, but expect it to be just as big a hit as it’s sibling series Arrow and The Flash. According to the synopsis:

When heroes alone are not enough…the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

The superhero team-up will have a mix of characters from both series including Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom), Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein), Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, and Caity Lotz who may return as Sara Lance/The Canary. New additions to the cast include Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl, and Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson.

The new spinoff will be executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim. A trailer for the spinoff has been shot and shall be shown at the network upfronts later this month.

In case you guys can’t wait to meet them, well you’re in luck. One of these heroes may show up during The Flash’s season finale according to Ciara Renee who plays Hawkgirl. She tweeted about it saying, “ALSO! Be sure to catch me and some of my castmates on the season finale of [email protected]_TheFlash“ Perhaps we may see her as her alter-ego Kendra Saunders.
