LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: Younger Obsidian To Appear in Second Season [The CW]

Dan Payne Obsidian

A Younger Version of Obsidian Appearing in Second Season of Legends of Tomorrow

Lance Henricksen will play JSA member Obsidian in the upcoming second season of Legends of Tomorrow, but he won’t be the only one playing him. A younger version of the character will also appear in The CW series, played by actor Dan Payne.

TVLine reported that Watchmen’s Dan Payne would portray the younger version of Obsidian in season two of Legends of Tomorrow. They have also added that when we first meet Obsidian, he’ll be played by Payne while his future self will be played by Lance Henricksen. This seems like a interesting approach to the character on the show since there weren’t any older versions of the 1940s JSA members besides Obsidian. Does this have anything to do with the Legion of Doom? What do you guys think?
