More DC Characters Likely to Be Introduced in Season Two of Legends of Tomorrow. As we draw closer to the season finale of Legends of Tomorrow this week, The CW already has plans on what the outlook of season two will be, and it will looks really different from this season.
With the main cast likely to return next season, there may be a chance that some episodes may feature a wide range of DC heroes and villains. EP Marc Guggenheim was interviewed by ComicBook.com about possibly bringing in more characters from the DC Universe for season two. One thing to note is that the series is already on the hunt for a Han Solo type character and a female military officer from the 1940s, hinting of some new characters coming into the mix.
One fan favorite character, Jonah Hex, may return for season two. “I also think that Johnathon Schaech was an incredible Hex, and we were talking last night about doing another episode with him already.” Jonah Hex made his debut in the episode ‘The Magnificent Seven’. Hex was portrayed as a dear friend of Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), who came to help the team after stopping a band of outlaws at the town of Salvation. “We really – when it comes to something like having Jonah on the show, we didn’t look at it as something that would thrill the fans – we look at it as a bucket list. We wanted to do Jonah.”
Guggenheim also discussed the opportunities that the show has opened to bring more characters from the comics due to the ever-changing nature of the series. “We love the idea that the show is a gateway to the whole of the DC Universe, and we have an actual opportunity to go to every corner of the DC Universe, any time or any place that the story makes sense. I will say that you’ll see even more DC characters in Season Two. By a large margin.”
