LEGION: Bryan Singer Confirms That TV Series Is Part of the X-Men Film Universe [FX]

Legion X-Men Charles Xavier

Bryan Singer Clarifies That Legion Will Be a Part of the X-Men Film Universe. We’ve been hearing so much about Legion’s connection with the X-Men film series and has always been in our minds about it. Well, it looks like EP and director Bryan Singer is ready to clarify on that…

When we first heard that FX was developing an X-Men TV spin-off based on Legion, many were told that this would exist in a parallel universe from the X-Men films. Even showrunner Noah Hawley doubted if any of the X-Men themselves would be appearing on the show. Now X-Men director Bryan Singer has offered some information on that possible connection at the Edinburgh Television Festival (via The Hollywood Reporter) confirming it. The EP also hinted that the events from the show may also show some things to come in future X-Men films.

[Legion is] part of the X-Men universe, but when you watched it, you wouldn’t have to label it, it could exist completely on its own. [It] will relate to future X-Men movies.

So does this open the possibility that Dan Stevens’ David Haller could be the son of Charles Xavier and show up at some point? We won’t know until the show debuts early next year.
