Dafne Keen Confirmed to Play X-23 in Logan

With the trailer for Logan already released, there were some new characters that will appear in the film, including a little girl who Wolverine ends up rescuing. After much speculation, it has been revealed that the little girl is actually Logan’s clone X-23 and will be featured in Logan.

The confirmation was made on the film’s Instagram page when a new post showed actress Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney. For comic book fans, Laura is the name of X-23 when she was first introduced in the source material. She made her debut in 2004, who was conceived by a group who replicated the Weapon X program using Wolverine’s DNA. The experiment of cloning Logan was attempted 22 times, which is where the young mutant got her code name after being the first success.

Just like Wolverine, X-23 also has superhuman strength, agility, reflexes, and a healing factor. The main difference between her and Wolverine is that she only has two adamantine claws on both hands, with an extra one coming out of her feet. Since then, she has become part of the X-Men and X-Force. She has also taken the mantle of Wolverine after his death.

So check out the image of X-23 and tell us what you think. Starring Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart, Logan comes out in theaters March 3, 2017.
