The CW Developing TV Series Based on The Lost Boys. It looks like The CW is planning on staying in business with iZombie’s Rob Thomas after the network has announced that they are developing an updated television adaptation of the film The Lost Boys.

Deadline first reported the news that Rob Thomas will produce The Lost Boys TV series under his company Spondoolie Productions. Unlike the film, the TV version of Lost Boys will span over century with each season focusing on a different time period. The first season will start in 1967 and end in a final seventh season taking the characters in the modern 2020s setting.

Rob Thomas will also be serving as an executive producer alongside Dan Etheridge and Danielle Stokdyk. The original film starred Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Corey Feldman, and Corey Haim.
