LUKE CAGE: Marvel and Netflix Renews for Second Season [Netflix]

Mike Colter Luke Cage Season Two

Luke Cage Gets Picked Up for Season Two

Luke Cage will be making his return to Harlem as both Marvel and Netflix has officially renewed the series for a second season. After a positive reception from fans and critics alike, it was only a matter of time before Luke Cage gets picked up for another season.

Starring Mike Colter, Luke Cage got a really positive response when it premiered on Netflix in September. It’s been two months since the show came out and we haven’t heard anything about a second season until now. Marvel made the announcement of the series’ return, but there hasn’t been any release date yet. We probably won’t be seeing a second season until at least 2018, as Luke Cage will be joining The Defenders next year. At least we know that Luke Cage has some more crime fighting to do in Harlem when he’s done teaming up with his comrades. Even showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker shared the news on his Twitter feed saying, “Sweet Christmas arrived 21 days early! Season Two coming soon! Forward…. Always.”

Are you guys excited that Luke Cage is getting a second season?
