Theo Rossi Returning as Shades in Luke Cage’s Second Season

There were quite a few villains that Harlem’s protector fought against in the first season of Luke Cage. In the upcoming second season, we will see at least one of them make a return in the Marvel’s hit Netflix series. Theo Rossi, who played the villain Shades, will be expected to return.

When Luke Cage’s first season ended, most of the character’s fates were left wide open, but there will be at least one person who has a score to settle with Power Man when the show returns in 2018. What he will be doing remains a mystery at this point, but we figure that he’ll be fighting against Luke Cage (Mike Colter) again after coming out of The Defenders.

“Now that I’m on Netflix with Marvel, and to be on the number one show on Netflix in Luke Cage, its like cable television 2.0,” Rossi told Parade Magazine. The actor also acknowledged being able to play another two iconic character after his popular role in Sons of Anarchy.

I’ve been very lucky and very fortunate in my decisions and in the people who wanted me to be with them with things like Sons [of Anarchy] and Luke Cage … I honestly couldn’t ask to be in a better situation with the caliber of people I’m around. Walking on the streets that I skateboarded in and ran around doing graffiti in, it’s a pretty incredible feeling. There’s a memory on every street, on every block, and I get to be close to my family. It’s all perfect.

Rossi revealed his return to Luke Cage when he told the magazine that he’s excited to come back to New York to start filming the second season. “Luke Cage is going down, [we’re in] season two. We’re pretty excited, it’ll be nice to get back into the swing.”
