MACBETH (2015) Movie Trailer: All Hail Michael Fassbender

Macbeth Trailer. Justin Kurzel‘s Macbeth (2015) movie trailer stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, David Thewlis, Elizabeth Debicki, Jack Reynor, Sean Harris, and Paddy Considine. Macbeth‘s plot synopsis: “Macbeth, a duke of Scotland, receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders his king and takes the throne for himself.”

I have been waiting for this film for a very long time. Any project that Michael Fassbender is attached to is worthy of note, and always worth getting excited for. So far we’ve only seen production stills, and recently got two clips from the film (as reward for waiting so long, I assume), but only now do we get a full trailer. And what a beauty it is. The cinematography (by Adam Arkapaw – collaborator with Kurzel on The Snowtown Murders (2011), as well) looks absolutely stunning. Fassbender looks plagued by his actions and perfectly unhinged, and it really seems like we are about to get the most incredible cinematic adaptation of Shakespeare‘s Scottish play ever made. It stunned audiences at Cannes last month, and will surely stun audiences abroad. I am beyond thrilled and absolutely delighted at how this has come together.
