MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Sequel entitled ‘THE WASTELAND’ by George Miller

George Miller gives Mad Max Fury Road Sequel a Title. With the box office success of Mad Max: Fury Road this weekend, a sequel announcement was inevitable and has occurred. The sequel to Mad Max: Fury Road will be entitled Mad Max: The Wasteland. Tom Hardy will reprise his role of  Max “Mad” Rockatansky in the film and possibly in others.

George Miller was being interviewed during The Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith podcast when he spoke about the Mad Max: Fury Road sequel:

We’ve got one screenplay and a novella. It happened because with the delays [on ‘Fury Road’], and writing all the backstories, they just expanded.

In this interview, the director mentioned the potential title to the sequel, Mad Max: The Wasteland.

I have not seen Mad Max: Fury Road yet but it seems (spoiler beginning) that Furiosa (Charlize Theron) might appear in the sequel as well. (spoiler end)

Mad Mad: Fury Road also starred Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Megan Gale, Courtney Eaton, Riley Keough, Abbey Lee KershawRichard Norton, Adelaide Clemens, Nathan Jones, Josh Helman, Angus Sampson, Richard Carter, and Hugh Keays-Byrne.
