Man of Steel‘s plot synopsis: “Clark Kent is a journalist in his twenties who was adopted as a child by Martha and Jonathan Kent after he was transported to Earth from the dying planet Krypton.

From what I could hear and sort of see, the film looks as though it has promise. It a “poor quality recordings of the trailer” but its better than nothing.

Man of Steel also stars Michael Shannon, Christopher Meloni, Laurence Fishburne, Jadin Gould, Ayelet Zurer, Tahmoh Penikett, Michael Kelly, Antje Traue, Dylan Sprayberry, and David Paetkau.

Rollo, it’s hard to see. What I can see looks pretty good. Kevin Costner is surprisingly effective.

I know but its better than nothing right?

The male cast seems to have good dialogue.

i am so stoked for this, finally a long over due reboot on superman. based off the trailer it looks like they’re giving supes more personality as opposed to the boy scout attitude of “I’m the good guy” I’m glad they gave him a new face to help move the characters story along. I think because Christopher Reeve’s portrayal was so iconic at the time that we ingrained his face to the character… let’s face it he was superman, but i feel it held us back because we set the bar too high for anyone to dare to try and step up to the plate. Now with that said let’s hope the famed “curse” isn’t still lingering around * cross-fingers*. Though I suppose nothing’s happened to Brandon Routh unless you count the death of his career….. cheap attempt at a cheap joke i know.. unless that curse is specifically tied in with successful superman movies.

Wow. I just got a little teary eyed. I’m such a huge Superman fan. And, let’s face it, Superman Returns was a real kick in the nuts to anyone who’s a fan of either the Christopher Reeve films or the comic book. That footage gave me major hope for this new movie. Wish they’d hurry up and post an official version of that trailer on line or something. That teaser we got with Dark Knight Rises was woefully inadequate.
