Warner Bros. Actively Developing Man of Steel 2. It’s been a long two years since Man of Steel ended with the start of the DC Extended Universe. However, we haven’t heard anything about a sequel, until now. Warner Bros. just confirmed that the studio is developing Man of Steel 2.
It’s been a while since we heard about the development on the sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel. It’s been three years since then, and all fans got was a follow-up in Zack Snyder’s critically panned Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earlier this year where [Spoilers] Superman sacrificed himself for humanity. However, we will be seeing Henry Cavill don the suit again in the upcoming Justice League.
It appears that Warner Bros.’ primary responsibility is focusing on their other DC heroes like Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg, and Green Lantern Corps. Even Batman has become a priority for the studio, so where does that leave Superman? Well, we now have received word from The Wrap that Warner Bros. has actually started developing the Man of Steel sequel as we speak. It’s still early in the process, so we haven’t received any other information beyond that but their inside source says that: “Superman is a top priority for the studio and getting the character right for audiences is of tantamount importance.” That should be good news to the fans who have waited for a Man of Steel 2. Although, it may be a long wait until Superman gets a second film.
When it comes to a release date, we know that WB has two untitled DC projects being slated for release on October 5, 2018 and November 1, 2019. We can expect Ben Affleck’s Batman film to come out on October, which means there’s a chance that Superman’s next solo outing may come out in November 2019.
Are you guys hyped for a Man of Steel 2 to come out soon?
