The first season of Marco Polo started slowly but by the end of it, it was firing on most if not all of the cylinders tat it needed to for viewers to come back for more. These factors culminated in large final battle à la Game of Thrones and a smaller battle between the main villain and the main protagonist.

That conclusion, with Kublai Khan (Benedict Wong) ruling all of China, has been carried over and picked up in the new season of the Netflix TV series. Now the person that he banished last season wants to be Khan and one of his retainers, that he raised as a member of his family, is trying to destroy him.

Marco Polo: Season 2 also stars Tom Wu, Olivia Cheng, Claudia Kim, Rick Yune, Remy Hii, Mahesh Jadu, and Uli Latukefu.
