Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Having a Spin-off in the Works. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is about to expand, as Marvel Entertainment is ready to create a spin-off based on the ABC hit series. Series executive producer Jeffrey Bell and writer Paul Zbyszewski are helming the series.

Entertainment Weekly first broke the news about the proposed spin-off, which will be introduced through story elements in upcoming episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. rather than being a backdoor pilot. There’s also no word on what the show will be about, so we probably won’t know anything until Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s second season finishesIf the spin-off gets picked up, this would mark Marvel’s third series on network television after Agent Carter debuted early this year. Plus, Marvel has a slate of Netflix series about to be released, including this month’s Daredevil.

The spin-off hasn’t been officially ordered yet as there is still no news on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. third season pickup. It will be a while when we learn more about this possible spin-off, but we think it may have characters like Deathlok or Mockingbird.

What do you guys think about this spin-off? Have any theories on what the plot is and who may be in it?
