ABC Orders Pilot for Marvel’s Most Wanted. After being scrapped and resurrected, ABC and Marvel have finally reached an agreement to order the pilot for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s spin-off series Marvel’s Most Wanted. The spin-off will revolve on Mockingbird and Lance Hunter.

Variety confirmed news that ABC gave a pilot order for Marvel’s Most Wanted, which will focus on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,’s Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) and her ex-flame Lance Hunter (Nick Blood). They will be the main stars of the series, but reports suggest, “Insiders say the series is not a spinoff, per se, but rather an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story. Though plot details are scarce at this point, Marvel’s Most Wanted will follow the pair and their adventures together.”

It’s a great concept on paper, but will it be successful? It’s still too early to tell, but the show has some great minds behind the show, including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, who are the co-creators of the show and will co-write the pilot episode. The network hasn’t talked about the project much, but ABC President Paul Lee has taken a look at the script and promises it is “really good”, basically confirming the network giving the go-ahead on the series.
