Metroid The Sky Calls Short Film. Sam Balcomb‘s Metroid: The Sky Calls (2015) short film stars Jessica Chobot and America Young. Metroid: The Sky Calls‘ plot synopsis: “The classic Nintendo franchise, Metroid, envisioned through the lens of 60s-70s science fiction cinema such as 2001, Alien, and Solaris…in tune with the themes that inspired the first Metroid game in 1986: isolation, exploration, and the wonders of deep space.”

I watched this short from beginning to end. Loved it, especially the ending. I hope Rainfall Films continues Samus Aran’s adventures and brings us part two.
