MIDNIGHT SPECIAL (2015) Movie Trailer: Michael Shannon’s Son has Powers

Midnight Special Trailer. Jeff NicholsMidnight Special (2015) movie trailer stars Joel Edgerton, Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver, Michael Shannon, and Sam Shepard. Midnight Special‘s plot synopsis: “A father and son go on the run after the dad learns his child possesses special powers.”

I have to admit I was very surprised by the content of this trailer. The paranoia that surrounds the unknown is unprecedented. When people don’t understand something, more often than not, it leads to fear. A scientist in Michael Crichton‘s Sphere believed the same thing. The scientist in this film doesn’t not seem as though he has his potential subject’s best interest at heart.
