Moana Trailer 3 and Poster 2

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has released the third movie trailer and the second movie poster for Moana (2016). Though two other trailers for this film have already been released, this trailer is the best of the bunch. The first trailers showed different aspects of the film. The third trailer shows all of the facets that seem to make this film quite unique. As with any Disney film, humor is front and center. Maui (Dwayne Johnson) delivers many of the laughs with Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) as the straight person during those moments.

Moana actually seems funnier than some previous Disney films.

From a visual stand point, this film looks terrific. Disney pays a lot of attention to detail regarding their CGI films. Moana looks no different. Though it wouldn’t be as big a hit as Frozen, must animated films are not, Moana will be number one at the box for many weeks when it is released.

Moana‘s plot synopsis: “Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows exactly why. From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli‘i Cravalho) meets the mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.”

Ron Clements, John Musker‘s Moana also stars Jemaine Clement, Temuera Morrison, Rachel House, Alan Tudyk and Phillipa Soo.
