Movie Trailers for Hangman, 12 Strong, and I, Tonya

New teaser trailers and full movie trailers for mainstream, independent, and documentary films have been released by numerous movie studios. These movies include: Hangman, 12 Strong, and I, Tonya.

  • The true story of the U.S. Special Forces in Afghanistan presented in 12 Strong is pretty incredible. It looks good.
  • I, Tonya looks absolutely incredible…and hilarious. It looks like they are presenting it as a tragedy, comedy, and drama all wrapped in one. I bet Tonya Harding never thought Margo Robbie would ever be portraying her in a film.

Hangman Trailer

Hangman‘s plot synopsis: “Decorated homicide detective Ray Archer (Al Pacino) and his partner, criminal profiler Will Ruiney, (Karl Urban) are tasked to catch one of the city’s notoriously vicious serial killers who is playing a twisted version of murder using the child’s game – Hangman, while crime journalist Christi Davies (Brittany Snow) reports on the crime spree, shadowing the detectives.”

12 Strong Trailer

12 Strong‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Doug Stanton, “12 Strong is set in the harrowing days following 9/11 when a U.S. Special Forces team, led by their new Captain, Mitch Nelson (Chris Hemsworth), is chosen to be the first U.S. troops sent into Afghanistan for an extremely dangerous mission. There, in the rugged mountains, they must convince Northern Alliance General Dostum (Nvid Negahban) to join forces with them to fight their common adversary: the Taliban and their Al Qaeda allies. In addition to overcoming mutual distrust and a vast cultural divide, the Americans—accustomed to state-of-the-art warfare—must adopt the rudimentary tactics of the Afghani horse soldiers. But despite their uneasy bond, the new allies face overwhelming odds: outnumbered and outgunned by a ruthless enemy that does not take prisoners.”

Nicolai Fuglsig‘s 12 Strong (2018) stars

Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Michael Shannon (Man of Steel), Michael Peña (Ant-Man), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Geoff Stults (Only the Brave), Thad Luckinbill (The Young and the Restless), Austin Stowell (Bridge of Spies), Ben O’Toole (Hacksaw Ridge), Austin Hebert (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back), Kenneth Miller (Whiskey Tango Fotxtrot), Kenny Sheard (13 Hours), Jack Kesy (The Strain), Navid Negahban, Laith Nakli (24: Legacy), Fahim Fazli (American Sniper), Yousuf Azai (Lone Survivor), and Said Taghmaoui (Wonder Woman).

12 Strong will be released into U.S. theaters via Warner Bros. on January 19, 2018.

I, Tonya Trailer

I, Tonya‘s plot synopsis: “Based on unbelievable but true events, I, TONYA is the darkly comedic tale of American figure skater Tonya Harding and one of the most sensational scandals in sports history. Though Harding was the first American woman to complete a triple axel in competition, her legacy has forever been defined by her association with an infamous, ill-conceived and worse-executed attack on fellow Olympic competitor Nancy Kerrigan. Featuring an iconic turn by Margot Robbie as the fiery Harding, a mustachioed Sebastian Stan as her impetuous ex-husband Jeff Gillooly, a tour-de-force performance from Allison Janney as her acid-tongued mother LaVona Golden, and an original screenplay by Steven Rogers, Craig Gillespie’s I, TONYA is an absurd, irreverent, and piercing portrayal of Harding’s life and career in all of its unchecked––and checkered––glory.”

Craig Gillespie‘s I, Tonya (2017) stars Margot Robbie, Sebastian Stan, Allison Janney, Paul Walter Hauser, Julianne Nicholson, Bobby Cannavale, and Mckenna Grace.

I, Tonya will be released in U.S. theaters through Neon on December 8, 2017.
