Zombieland

Sundance breakout Tyler Ross, star of indie Milkshake, and up-and-comer Izabela Vidovic have been cast as two of the four leads in Zombieland, Amazon Studios’ comedy pilot based on the hit 2009 movie. The project, produced by Sony TV, is a continuation of the adventures of Tallahassee, Columbus (Ross), Wichita, and her younger sister Little Rock (Vidovic) — four humans who band together to survive the zombie apocalypse.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Chris Meledandri‘s Illumination Entertainment is working on a new animated version of Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas for Universal Pictures. Pete Candeland is set to direct with Meledandri producing. A writer has not yet been named…The new version of The Grinch is Meledandri’s third Dr. Seuss project…Dr. Seuss author Theodor Geisel’s widow Audrey Geisel who will again serve as executive producer.

Jupiter Ascending

Andy and Lana Wachowski are filling out the “Jupiter Ascending” cast with another rising star as “Noah” thesp Douglas Booth has signed on to the Warner Bros. sci-fi pic.

Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Eddie Redmayne and Sean Bean are also on board. The Wachowskis will write and direct the pic.

Night at the Museum 3

Fox has announced that Night at the Museum 3, directed by Shawn Levy, will open on December 25, 2014.
