As always with Nicolas Winding Refn films, the imagery and the scene set-up in this trailer are fantastic. Refn really knows how to make a singular scene as visually compelling and stimulating as possible. Instead of the standard narrative format, in this trailer the viewer is given a series of images and the viewer is responsible for putting those images together in their mind. There are not that many directors that have such faith in their audience.

I was happy to Elle Fanning in the starring role in this film but was surprised that model-turned-actress Abbey Lee had a co-starring role, one prominently featured in this trailer (and presumably in the film). I shouldn’t have been that surprised as Lee was good in Mad Max: Fury Road.

This drama film also stars Bella Heathcote, Jamie Clayton, Desmond Harrington, Alessandro Nivola, Charles Baker, Karl Glusman, Taylor Marie Hill, Cameron Brinkman, Cody Renee Cameron, and Lucas Di Medio.
