Josh Boone Offers Update on New Mutants. Josh Boone has been very busy on his latest project New Mutants ever since being hired to direct it back in May this year. Now the filmmaker has given an update on what the status is for the upcoming X-Men spin-off film.

Going on his Twitter Page, Josh Boone announced that the first draft for the screenplay of New Mutants has been completed and ready to review for 20^th Century Fox. In the tweet, he wrote, “The first draft of New Mutants is COMPLETE.” With the draft done, The Fault In Our Stars director is only one step closer until we hear about when this new generation of heroes will jump into the big screen. Boone will also be co-writing the project with Knate Gwaltney while Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg will produce.
