Both Brolin and Teller have been very busy as of late. The former joined up again with his True Grit collaborators Ethan and Joel Coen for Hail Caesar!, a comedy currently playing in theaters. He is also slated to reprise his role as arch-villain Thanos in Marvel‘s Avengers: Infinity War, set for release in 2018. As for Teller, he rode the success of his critically-acclaimed turn in Whiplash to a role in such high-profile projects as The Fantastic Four and The Divergent Series. Indeed, he is to play the role again in the franchise’s next installment Allegiant, which hits theaters this month.
It appears No Exit will be very different from any of the movies mentioned above, however. The film will bring to life the story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, who took on the raging wildfires that struck Arizona in 2013. No release date has been offered for the film, but details about the plot have been made public:
Scripted by Black Hawk Down scribe Ken Nolan and set to be directed by TRON: Legacy and Oblivion helmer Joseph Kosinski, the No Exit movie will tell the true story of the Prescott Arizona Fire Department’s Granite Mountain Hotshots. Tasked with fighting wildfires, the 20-man crew risked it all when lightning ignited the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30, 2013. Over a period of nearly two weeks, the Granite Mountain Hotshots bravely battled and, eventually, defeated the massive flames. The expense was great, however, as the incident claimed the lives of all but one of the Hotshots’ crew.
